It depends. If you're on keto? 3 egg omelette with cheese. That powers me.

If you're going that diet that's all raw food then I'd recommend picking up some sultanas and nuts, make some trail mix and munch throughout. Start the day with fruit like apple or banana, or veg like carrots. The sugar will perk you up, but it also burns fast.

If you can stomach it, chewing coffee beans (not grounds) like gum helps with food cravings, but the texture is kinda weird ngl.

Otherwise, low gi foods, and enough to actually fill you. It'll keep you going for a few hours. Trail mix is also good for snacking here. If you're creative, have a full meal with protein and fat too. They burn slower than sugar. Low gi breads with bacon and eggs is great if you have time for it.

Just something like. 2 scrambled eggs with toast and a cup of coffee or tea is something I will typically do, or do a tortilla wrap with 1 scrambled egg with a bit of cheddar cheese, serano peppers, potato and salsa and grill it or toast it in a pan.

i usually go with oatmeal and dried fruit or whatevers left over from dinner,

No wonder. All your choices are carbs other than the eggs. You need all macronutrients not just sugar. I choose milk and fruit cause they're easy and light on my stomach.

I work construction and usually about the 2 hour mark I break for some coffee and at the very least a piece of fruit.

If you're trying to run five or six hours doing physical labor without a blood sugar fix you're going to be exhausted after about 3 hours and in my experience arent going to bounce back even after afterlunch .

When I was finishing up college I'd eat breakfast at 8 then wouldn't have time to eat in between classes so I'd just eat my next meal at 2 or 3 when I got home. A giant bowl of overnight oats was my go to:

1/2 cup whole oats
1/3 cup full fat Greek yogurt (be sure not to get fat free yogurt or you will get hungry sooner)
2/3 cup milk
1-2 tbsp chia seeds depending on how thick you like
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1-2 tsp honey
1/2 - 1 tsp salt
2 tbsp peanut butter
