Its fascinating to me how diverse of a state Michigan is. You have central michigan like Flint and Lansing where there is an abundance of Coney Islands and greek food. You have Detroit which has a pretty good food scene in some parts. On the west side there's Holland, Greyling, Traverse city, and Manistee that all have a nice lake coastal flair with good pizzas and breweries. You head north and pasties become the norm, finally there's the UP where the smoked whitefish game is on point. I bet this is the case for most states, but you don't really get the nuance unless you live there.

I wish I could, senpai. My degree is in Mechanical Engineering, I graduated in 2019, had a job for a few months then lost it when COVID hit, been out of work for 10 months and I'm not throwing away the job I have now.

It's ironic though, I had a great GPA, plenty of leadership and internships, and despite applying up and down the state of Michigan in all the auto industries and others, the only decent job that went through is out of state. I'm really excited about the work though (it's in nuclear power), pay is much better than my first job, everything is great aside from having to move away.

(I'm not a homeowner anyway, I've been living with parents after graduation until I got my full-time life settled, so that isn't a concern).
