Alcohol scent overrides those. I've had some luck drawing in my breath as I passed by people. Doesn't work if you have to talk, but you can try looking away from them as you speak. Options are pretty limited.

Gin and vodka are your best bets, but it will still be noticeable if you're in close proximity or if they are especially sensitive to the smell. Kinda like smoking cigarettes, where you can somewhat mask the odor but it still lingers for a good while. I suppose if you're really daring you could vanilla extract or mouthwash, but I wouldn't recommend it.

What the fuck are you talking about? I worked with a line cook that drank so much gin, you could smell it sweating out of him on the line, and this was in a Cajun restaurant with strong-smelling food. I can't stand the smell of gin to this day. Vodka is the choice for the lowest-smell alcohol.

Vodka is best because it smells the least.
That being said, alcohol is really absorbed into your bloodstream before being filtered through your liver, so it actually comes through the membranes in your lungs and is in your actual BREATH (so while brushing your teeth/ chewing gum helps, it is not super effective).
That’s why wearing masks has been a fucking blessing lately.
Pic unrelated.
