This is a very easy question to google, and google will tell you that the answer is boxed wine, or maybe malt liquor. What they don't take into account is that nobody asking that question is going to be able to choke down enough low abv garbage fast enough to even get a buzz. The real answer is vodka. Every alcoholic eventually turns to vodka. Vodka is life. Vodka is love.

Sorry, I assumed OP was an aspiring alcoholic in his late 20's - not a 14 year old girl throwing a party when her parents were out of town. There are many reasons why you don't "just drink everclear". You'll understand when you're older. I would recommend experimenting with bottom shelf vodkas; don't start with handles, as most taste like gut rot and rubbing alcohol. But it's not difficult to find some hidden gems. It all depends on local availability. 40's tend to be ubiquitous and easily drinkable. That being said, they tend to be the most "inefficient" within the efficient ways to get drunk tier of booze.

Box wine/bottom shelf handles tend to be 1a/1b - don't sleep on the box wine. For example, near me in the US, cheapest handle of ~40% liquor is ~$12 for nail polish tier vodka. Occasionally I've seen extra strength gin at a similar price range but it tastes like death. Box of wine is ~$12/5L/13%. They're nearly equivalent, and at that point, you're saving pennies by picking the liquor. However, the wine is way more easily drinkable IMO.

But I'm not a poor fag so I generally opt for WT101 or Evan Williams.

You can get a fifth of grain alcohol (750mL 95%) for $18. So 712.5mL for $18 which is 2.53¢ per mL.

So the 40% vodka is actually cheaper.

You can get a half keg of 4.4% lager for $75. That’s 58.7L, and 2582mL of pure alcohol. It’s 2.91¢ per mL

I fucking hate this meme that alcoholics are immune to everything but hard liqour. You could easily polish off a bottle of wine in an hour if you aren't a manlet. Four bottles in four hours and even a hardcore alcoholic should have a decent buzz on.

More on OP's topic though, here in the UK it's cider. For some reason there seems to be a minimum price per unit of alcohol for everything except cider. A 70cl bottle of vodka, or a fifth, is at least £14. You can buy cider at 5% in two litre bottles for £2. You get more alcohol for half the price.

Regardless if my column would reduce that, it STILL is only the amount a normal bottle of wine would have in any given bottle. It's just retarded to argue. I know you don't know this but you need pectin to create methanol. That doesn't happen with sugar washes. So.. I don't know how to help you ignorant asses out but hey. Look up Pectinase so you'll know how to speak later on.

Nobody's saying they're immune, dum dum. You're suggesting that you can drink 4 entire bottles of wine over the course of 4 hours and get a buzz. Okay, that's fucking retarded. Nobody is realistically going to choose to do that every day just to save a couple dollars when it's much more pleasant to just drink a few mugs of vodka over the course of 15-20 minutes.

It's less about discipline against buying alcohol, and more being disciplined enough to cope with doing something much less engaging and tedious as an alternative.
For at least some people, there really isn't anything that is as fulfilling as getting shitfaced, so even something "productive" or "worthwhile" is still going to be relatively sucky, and the people who preach against drinking have absolutely no answer to that.

Why not hard liquor? It's faster and easier. What's wo hard about taking a shot from the bottle every five minutes with some water or drink of choice until drunk? If the drink is going to be gross either way, just go with cheap hard liquor. You'll only need ten drinks instead of 100
