Recently got a waffle iron from my grandma that had been lying around at her place for ages, can /ck/ recommend some good recipes for waffles?

Mix together:
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup melted lard
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk
then whisk the mixture as you pour in buttermilk until the batter gets to the right consistancy

Chaffles(cheese waffles) are also good. 1/2 cup of mozzarella or cheddar or whatever cheese and an egg whisked together. Pour on iron for 2-4 minutes
