>it's a bit silly to warm up the whole oven just to reheat a piece of chicken or make some roasted veg, maybe I'll get an airfryer
>everything I find has reviews about nasty plastic smells and breaking after a few uses
>realize maybe I don't want some $100 chinkshit plastic operating at 400F+
>nonstick meme baskets probably a pain to clean
>don't get airfryer, oven it is

No. Just no. I've owned my $50 air fryer for a year now and I haven't had any issues. Just don't buy some shitty chinese garbage and you'll be fine.

Someone gave me a real cheap one. I didn't realize until then that they're literally just standaone, small scale, convection ovens. This means they're useful for small batches of whatever you can make in a convection oven. I've found I've been using it mostly to reheat frozen food since it gets them nice and crispy, and quickly.

Correct. I did, used it twice and went back to a deep fat frier which works consistently and in a fraction of the time. Air frier went in the bin.

Reminder that these are superior to air firers in every way.

I wonder how long until air fryers are large enough that they're just ovens again.

i had airfryer wings for the first time last week and i'm not convinced at all that they have less fat than deep fried wings
when i deep fry wings they come out extremely crispy with most of the fat rendered out
the air fryer wings were super fatty and rubbery and not crispy at all even though the person who made the wings described them as such
they also gave me horrific greasy yellow diarrhea the next day which i don't get with normal deep fried wings to further support my hypothesis

the expensive grocery store sells chicken legs/wings that you just throw in the oven/microwave and they are just how you described your airfryer wings. i love it. i don't know what nasty shit they do to get it like that. i'll try throwing them in an airfryer. thank you fren c:

what's the difference between an air fryer and a normal oven?

>> No.15839026

>>15839018
There is no difference. They work identically.
Except that air fryers are built so they only last until the warranty is up and then they go in the trash.
