Is cooking meals from a cookbook cheating?

My fiancée wants to be a housewife so cooks me breakfast, lunch and dinner every day from popular cookbooks and food network recipes online. I just wish she could learn the skills to cook what naturally comes to her instead of preparing a meal for me that someone else created. Not to mention, once we have kids I don’t want someone else’s food to be what they eat, I want her to create it.

How can I get her to understand this and how can she learn it?

Women are cooks
Men are chefs
Cooks follow recipes and chefs create recipes.
Honestly just be happy you're getting home cooked meals from someone you love.

It's okay if she does that for now or for a while. She'll become more confident and will be able to just make something without looking a book. Just tell her to learn the basic skills too, not just to memorise recipes.

When it comes to cookbooks I tend to find them more in line with suggestions or a guideline then exact science and I’m sure many people will tell you the same, the exception to me is my few attempts at making bread which I certainly followed to the t as I am no baker.

Holy cringe. You know nothing about cooking (or women).

I wish to be that dough and relax at her fingers, while I slowly expand myself and then be devoured by her and then be burned by her gastric juices, only to be shit afterwards while licking all of her glorious butthole.

I think cookbooks are a good starting off point. If you don't learn the basics, how can you improvise and make something palatable?
