What's you're favorite soup? For me it's a toss up between french onion and clam chowder.
I haven't made any in a couple months. When was the last time you had your favorite soup?

I had a bunch of leftover St.Paddy's day ingredients so I made a Kielbasa Potato Sauerkraut soup/stew for my work lunches this week and it was so fucking good. I used medium whipping cream so it kinda turned into a chowder which is good but so rich that you can only eat a small portion of it.

It was amazing but I'm fucking 30 and get heartburn at the drop of a hat now so that kinda sucked.

Yes we do love that stuff, here is the recipe my mom and me uses:
> Cooked brown lentils with saluted onions, bayleave, salt, pepper from some other dish the day before
> Add diced and cooked/steamed: carrot, leek, celery root, potatoes. Shouldn't be more than half the volume of the lentils.
> Mix together with some meat broth, it should still be really thick, more like a stew. Let it all heat up together, don`t let it boil.
> Put in some whole wieners (not the dick kind), and let them get warm in the lentil soup
> serve with some drops of vinegar (very important!), I recommed a mild red wine vinegar
> Optional: Add some (not to much) spätzle with the wieners
Hope some of you faggots enjoy this south-west german dish
