yeah it was just a citrus flavored soda.
I was super nostalgic for it before they brought it back and I realized that it's not much to write home about.
The flavor is slightly different than other citrus sodas, It's similar to Sun Drop but i think there's a hint of orange in the background.

Fucking corn and pizza. I never understood why they chose that pair. We didn't get carrots and apples, though. They'd give us a disgustingly hard chocolate chip cookie. You couldn't bite or break into them without it shattering all over the place. Not even the chocolate milk would soften it. You know what I think was the worst part about school lunches? No bottled water. Milk makes me thirsty, so I would have to go to a water fountain after lunch, whether I drank it or not, just to wash the food down and get hydrated.

I'm kind of proud to have survived going to an American public school. As the other anon said, it wasn't just the food that made it like a prison. They deliberately under fund schools to undermine any notion that government can provide a worthwhile service. I think government is generally a bad solution to things, but it's unfair to say it doesn't work when it was being sabotaged. I guess it successfully indoctrinated me because I have a lot of conservative opinions. I wished every day that my cruel classmates would take a baton to the teeth. It's a shame teachers can't discipline.

Disagree. School sucks because of the government being retarded, yes, but the government doesn't specifically shit on public schools deliberately. Public schools are just the victim of bureaucracy diluting the direction and flow of power and money.

They underfund public schools because schools are just barely able to operate at the bare minimum cash investment. Why would you give the schools more money when they are passing the state mandated minimum test scores? You could much more easily pocket the money or direct that money towards one of your corporate interests. Public schools are shit because the standards the government uses to measure public schools' performance is dogshit.
