No, not serving cold water on a hot summer day is uncommon. Refrigerated water or tap water would be cooled at least. Blame effete Euro snobbery or boorish immigrants.

they can't afford ice bro don't look down on them. I remember eating a restaurant as a kid and another table started freaking out when the drinks were served. They were speaking some nonsense sounds but they kept pointing and holding the ice while jumping up and down. Finally they asked the waitress in broken english what was it they were holding and why was it cold. Very embarrassing for them but given our good american values no one said anything.

Thats a very rare problem in the US. The few areas that need this are in nigger areas so they make a big deal about it and it becomes political/national news. Most of US refrigerators have a water line that go through water purifiers and a dispenser that will dispense into clean water in your cup. Pic related is what I have. Most euro fridges I've seen are those small dorm sized ones.

Since these threads are always just /int/ shitflinging, I might as well throw in my 2 cents. Euros talk so much trash because they literally have no idea how poor they are. As someone who's worked in the US and in Germany as an educated professional, the American middle class lifestyle absolutely mogs the rest of the civilized world. My Euro colleagues, white men with STEM degrees mind you, were perfectly content earning 60k Eurobucks a year, living in an apartment, and taking the fucking train everywhere. It's pathetic really.
