I spent most of my life thinking Boston Market was a catering service. The stores look like the kind of place you aren't supposed to be unless you have authorization, and the menu seemed like everything only came in bulk. Everything about the place seemed "not open to outsiders looking for a quick meal". The buildings even look like culinary prisons. I found out when I was maybe 25 years old that anyone can walk inside and order food on the spot and that they are an actual restaurant with an extensive buffet. Did anyone else have this experience?

That's clearly a very modern redesign. BM used to be identical to specific retail stores, in appearance. The old design and locations used to look like Mattress Factory or Radio Shack, and they were located in the same types of plazas. That place is weird and I will never eat there, no matter how angry it makes you.

Boston market is good hearty traditional American food. People nowadays are so bored and novelty seeking they can’t appreciate it.

If tacos and Thai food or whatever were standard American food and immigrants brought this meal then people would gush over how delicious and exotic it is

I remember eating there a few times when I was a kid. I always thought their food tasted weird, especially the chicken. I think had it lemon in the marinade or something that I found offputting at the time. They didn't last long because they were in the cursed building next to the Ivar's where any restaurant that opened in it would be out of business in no more than a couple years. I think that place lasted less than one.
