Ok, so....

You could always tell it was 1st of the month because sheboons and their 5 kids would breeze through the store and come to checkout with a cart(s) FULL (I really can't stress FULL because no one but EBT welfare queens fill up carts like these leeches) of literal junk food. I swear there wasnt one basic ingredient in their carts.
They would be filled to the brim with soda, sugary cereal, instant mashed potatoes, microwave dinners, potato chips (lots of this shit), cans of chef boyardee, mac and cheese, several loaves of bread and all the deli meats and sliced cheese you could imagine and MY GOD imagine ringing up 40 individual koolaid packets...
The totals regularly came in around $4-500 in 90s/00s dollars worth of garbage food. And they would all swarm on the store in the same 2-3 day wimdow.
They basically bought everything from the middle of the store that was pre-made and pre-packaged. No produce, no meats, just carts full of literal junk food.

When it wasnt the 1st of the month, you had immigrants who couldn't speak English holding up the line with WIC vouchers for milk and eggs and a block of cheese although thay changed over time because then would fill up carts with tortillas and salsa makings

And in between all of that you had the crackhead moms who would come in with WIC vouchers for 13 cans of infamil because they were too high/drunk to breastfeed
