I really dislike when people eat normal things with a spoon like rice or Mac and cheese, for instance. It’s a low income thing, because many of them are not raised to use forks and knives properly. You’ll notice they use their forks to cut everything and try to use spoons for anything that doesn’t absolutely require a fork. I had a friend who was really insecure about her former trailer park eating habits and didn’t really understand until I had to eat with people who think it’s fancy to push food onto their forks with knives. I know that’s just how they were raised and how everyone one around them eats, but I can’t tolerate it as well as I used to. Especially since it’s usually accompanied by food abominations that I have to politely eat when I visit.

I use coconut oil and everytime my boyfriend cooks the entire house is filled with the scent of burning oils and scalded food because he cooks everything for 30 seconds on extremely high heat. he doesn't eat vegetables or "soups" and he doesn't wash the handle on utensils, only the spoon or fork portion.
