I came here to literally post this. I was gifted a few of these recently. I haven't used them yet, but according to my mum, you need too oil the inside of the poachers a bit, otherwise the eggs stick to the sides.

They don't make too much sense to me to boil eggs, unless you want to mix something into the eggs to boil them together. Pic rel.

Boiled eggs are only a pain to peel if you start them in cold water. For some reason that makes the shell stick to the white a lot more. When boiling the water first then putting the eggs in I rarely have the shell stick anymore and it's a lot easier.
