The link didn't get fucked, the apostrophe just got translated into a more universal code for browsers. Your first link works just fine if you actually click on it.

>> No.15634682

>>15634676
Whatever you call it, things cannot BE "extra." You cannot have an "extra egg sandwich" unless it's a sandwich with extra egg, which that isn't. People who use "extra" like that (or saying "I'm extra" or "that's so extra") are subhuman filth who should be killed for rotting the English language.

Thanks for the info, the % shit being pasted where I do not expect has driven me crazy for years, and I always go back and edit it because OCD. Your simple explanation might relieve that anxiety somewhat

>> No.15634729

>>15634710
Yeah, it happens because URLs can't contain certain special characters so in that example ' becomes %27 so that web servers can utilize the URL. Modern browsers often take the extra step of translating all the %#'s into regular characters to make the URLs more readable for humans, but what you're seeing in your first post is the true URL and it's more universal because some older browsers may not properly convert the apostrophe. If anything that URL containing %27 instead makes it the most correct and most universally usable form of the URL possible.

to a greater extent than usual; especially.
2.

I bake the potatoes the night before. That way in the morning I can just dice them up along with a small onion, cook some bacon, fry up the potato and onion, crumble bacon, fried egg or two to finish.
I bake my potatoes for hash browns, home fries, and mashed potatoes. You don't want them wet for any of those, so why boil/parboil?
