Fun Fact: I used to on occasion, haul tanker truck loads of Albertan whiskey to Kentucky. After a Kosher wash in East St Louis, I'd reload with vegetable oil for Vancouver BC or liquid yeast for Calgary.

Single barrels are a mixed bag. Some are barely above the standard while some are exceptional.

You may just not like Jack Daniels. I would rather have Old Forester or Woodford Reserve if you are sticking to Brown Forman bourbons.
