I'm kinda enjoying that there's one cafe near me that just mogs every single other eatery in the area on delivery services because they do a damn good £6 halfpound burger.

Having left SW London and my beloved Chicken Cottage several years ago I was over the moon when we got a Morleys recently in my neighbourhood in Kent. 3 pieces of chicken, fries and a drink for under a fiver is my order. Its been years since I've had the ribs though so I need to remember to get those on my next visit.

On a side note, who remembers the literal HOME OFFICE partnering with Morleys to advertise knife crime prevention on their chicken boxes because they identified it as a place black youths frequented lmao

Local grocery store has a small selection of Bongfoods.

Eh, pickled onions are maybe an aquired taste, but I love them. They're traditionally served with fish and chips / other fried foods, or sometimes sold at pubs (out of a gigantic murky jar which has never been cleaned).

Crunchies are fantastic.

I like fruit gums, but some people find them too chewy (although that actually used to be a marketting point. where they would advertise that one roll would last the entire day).

Branston pickle is great with cheese, in a sandwich

Irn Bru and spicy ginger beer are absolutely worth checking out.

Salad cream can fuck right off though. I have no idea why boomer like it. It's literally ersatz mayonnaise from ww2.

The brand is actually owned by the Japanese now (mizkun I think), along with Branston pickle.

Maybe Terry's Chocolate Orange if you've never had that flavour combo before. But the bars are shit. Ask the store to order the proper Chocolate Orange that comes in segments in the shape of an actual orange.
