Chamomile tea. Buy a box, brew at least seven (7) bags in 12 oz. of water, let that bitch steep until it tries to steal your bike. Don't worry about it getting bitter, I don't know if it actually can. Drink that shit then take a warm shower. Once you're out it should've already started to hit you. Destroy all sources of blue light, cover your blinds, turn off any extension cords if they make even the slightest hum if noise bothers you. Get comfy and try to remove active thoughts from your mind. I don't know what that means but I like to pretend I'm repressing a bad memory and that works well enough.

Currently living with parents because the guy below me burnt up the fourplex with fireworks (he did have the decency to make sure everyone was out).

The worst part of this is that they are strict teetotalers because literally half of our family are dysfunctional alcoholics, and I fall neatly into that category. I respect not drinking in their place, but I'm seriously considering getting a motel just so I can have my degenerate weekend bender and not feel like shit for the first time in weeks.
Of course they'll get pissy about that, but if they expect to shame me into not drinking they're setting themselves up for disappointment.

Forgot to mention, try setting a bedtime alarm that you follow no matter what. Eventually your chimp brain will decide that (9:00 pm maybe) is the normal time to sleep and try to tone down around that time. It can take a couple weeks to click so try not to change it too often.
