I'm deeply sick of cheese but also can't think of anything I'd like to eat that doesn't involve cheese. I'm a vegetarian and I don't eat sugar, so that doesn't leave me with many meal options that don't at least INCORPORATE cheese. What are some good meat free, cheese free, sugar free foods?
Meals I've eaten recently:
>large papa John's cheese pizza
>Mashed avocado on toast with scrambled eggs (cheese in eggs)
>pasta with garlic and oil (dusted with parmesan)
>jalapeño poppers and champagne
When it's not cheese, it's potatoes
>chikn sandwich with potato smiles
>vblt with chips
I've got two non cheese/potato meals
>Veggie chikn pot pie
>tofu over rice (has to marinate for overnight)

I don't really like eggs that much without cheese. What other egg adulterants could I use?

Just use meat substitutes.

I do, but most of then kinda suck. I got some of the incogmeato stuff, and it was super gross. But you can't get a vegetarian sub for a pork chop or a chicken breast

Hummus
Bahn Mi (you can probably make a veggie version)
Chips and Guacamole/Salsa
Mapo Tofu

Honestly, just dive into Asian food, they rarely use cheese and have tons of great dishes.

If your grocery store has Gardeins, they're pretty great meat substitutes. The ones with sauce all have sugar but you can just not use the pack.

Also may be worth looking into making your own Seitan, but fair warning, none of the basic/traditional recipes will be anything like the mass-produced substitutes in terms of texture or flavor.

A nice salad?
Butternut squash soup?
Stuffed mushrooms?
Tomato spinach pasta?
Ramen/Pho?
Garlic butter pasta? Pesto pasta?

I don't see how any of this is difficult. Hell, just google vegan recipes and roll with some of those.

Also, I feel like most Japanese/Indian foods don't use a lot of cheese. You could easily do a veggie stir fry.

I eat a container of hummus per week and make guac when I can get avocados. Bahn mi is a GREAT idea, gonna get on it. Mapo tofu involves meat generally.
>>15332231
Gardein is good sometimes, but sometimes it makes me very sick to my stomach. Their vegetarian wings are godawful.
>>15332232
>salad
I've been getting into that more, but it's not very filling
>squash soup
I made some turnip soup that was awful, but I'll try squash too
>stuffed mushrooms
Stuffed with what?
>tomato Spinach pasta
With no cheese?
>ramen/pho
Most commercial stuff is made with animal fat
>garlic butter/pesto pasta
Not significantly different from Aglio e Oleo

Indian food involves some caustic fucking spices and is hard to cook. Japanese food involves a lot of meat or sea food. I do a mushroom stir fry, but it's not very good.

>Squash
Sorry for the ASMR, but I've made this and like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOsPw7YBKZY

>Stuffed mushrooms
There's a lot out there. You can definitely do something with mushroom, panko bread crumbs, garlic, herbs, artichoke, and maybe add some sun dried tomato.

>Tomato spinach pasta with no cheese?
Yes. You're not a vegan, so make a different kind of sauce. Hell, try this, it looks good.

>Most commercial ramen is made with animal fat
Nissin Top Ramen offers two vegan flavors, soy sauce and chili. Add some veggies or an egg to taste. This isn't hard.

>>15332266
Tofu, soy, and egg are commonly used in Japanese dishes with no other meat. Listen, if you want to lock yourself away from certain aspects of food, you're going to have to put some work into it. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, and I thought of most of my suggestions for you with a simple series of searches. There's tons of foods I like to eat without cheese. Hell, my number one snack is just raw veggies and hot sauce.

Go dunk garlic bread in marinara, shit, I dunno.

What youre missing in your food that cheese gives you is savor (what faggots call umami), and the best way to get that from veggies is by making sofrito/mirepoix, mushroom duxelle, using soy souce/marmite and buying good quality fresh tofu

You're severely lacking in variety with your potato meals. Potatoes are versatile as fuck, you can have practically your entire diet centred around them.

Same with beans and lentils.

You suck at being a vegetarian.

It seems like you're really underutilizing vegetables and legumes. Here are some of my staples as a mostly whole-foods plant-based eater:
>bean/veggie burrito (decent recipe here: https://www.acouplecooks.com/vegan-burrito/))
>fresh veggie wrap with chickpeas/beans for added protein
>moroccan chickpea stew
>countless variations of vegetable soup/stew
>lentil soup
>grain bowls with rice/farro/quinoa/etc. topped with desired veggies and beans
>oatmeal with fruit and spices
>"green" smoothies with bananas, berries, and greens
>vegetable stir fry with whole grains
>burrito bowls
>stuffed sweet potatoes
>open face sandwiches with beans, veggies, guac, etc.

These are just a few options. If you're already vegetarian and hate cheese, why not just go vegan? I would suggest looking into WFPB recipes rather than "vegan recipes," because the WFPB community is generally more nutritionally conscious, more educated, less ideological, and less instragram-baity.
