How did Mountain Dew become associated with gaming? Do gamers really drink it?

I should think the real gamer fuel would be nutritionally complete ramen, since gaymers aren't exactly cooking real food between noodle bowls.

It has some of the highest caffeine content of commonly available sodas before energy drinks became popular. Gamers prefer to feed their dopamine addiction than sleep.

How come coffee never become a thing for gamers?

I don't think age is an issue and it always would have been accessible. I think there's a jar of freeze dried coffee in everyone's house. At least in western countries. Plus, I see literal children drinking coffee now but for whatever reason it never caught on as the caffeine gamer fuel.

Uh-huh, yeah. Keep going, you almost got me convinced. Video games are for mature adults and children like their coffee black.

In the late 90s? maybe early 2000's Pepsico made cringey "gamer" related adds and sponsorships for Mountain Dew. They were mocked up and down, and Dew became an icon of retards who play video games moreso to identify with corporatized "gamer culture" than for the sake of enjoying the games. Unfortunately zoomers don't get the irony and embrace it. Nowadays this caricature is a genuine representation of the typical video game consumer.

I don't think there's any age barriers on coffee or games, they seem to be consumed by all ages now but if caffeine is the sole appeal of gamer drinks then surely you can understand why I'm confused coffee never caught on in that regard.

Is this stuff actually good? It seemed intriguing but ramen isn't very filling so I'm hesitant to spend more than pocket change on it.

Tarragon and marjoram.
Also remove the basil and you'll have herbes de provence.
