Now that the dust has settled and we all agree that 'go 'za is the superior style of 'za, what are the best toppings for it?

Stuffed Crust or Pizza Hut style pan pizza.

They're easy to make and taste like the real thing. The only way you can screw this up is if you don't follow the recipe.

they are not toppings, b/c they are under the sauce and cheese.

I mean this completely unironically, deepdish pizza is THE best pizza in the United States and I'm so upset that it's not a thing here in the UK.

For deep dish, I'd go with a basic Lou Malnati's sausage pizza. The rendered pork fat inside that tomato sauce topping is yummy. Cooking sausage in a thin layer on top with all the fennel and other seasonings coming out of the pork fat..it really flavors the sauce and cheese beneath it all.

Get a salad starter or bruschetta.

When it's not a chicago deep dish style, I really like most anything, from brick oven thin crust to coal fired to detroit thick and spongey with crunchy cheese edges and so on. I usually pick 3 toppings so it doesn't get too heavy and stick to keeping it simple to allow a balance of cheese and toppings, and to get a well done crust. My go to trio is probably pepperoni onion mushroom.

Deep Dish is really delicious. Pineapple and ham pizza is also delicious. People are going to hate it, but they are good.

I'm sure if you opened a joint in just the right place in bongland it would be a massive hit

Scout around the net for recipes, it's very doable at home because unlike thin crusts you don't need a super hot oven at all. Your home oven will have a proper temp to cook it. And the crust has more in common with a typical savory pie crust than a pizza dough. Make yourself useful since you're locked down and do an OC before you have no food due to getting hosed by brexit, Nigel.

Oh god it’s something that I can’t contain, because if I had the red button to nuke the USA I’d just simply press it when I see these pictures.
