It's not bad, ton of crispy breaded ends without chicken in them unlike say chic fila, the brioche is predictably not the best quality but still good, spicy sauce isn't noteworthy but not bad, and as required by all restaurants they stack the two pickles instead of making them side by side so it's annoying, also I'd get slightly less thick pickles if possible. Overall I almost never get it because the drive through is so god damn fucking slow, even if chic fil a has a 50 car line it still moves faster than 8 cars at popeyes (they also have a better sandwich but that's aside the point)

After the pure hype my wife and I went to go to a popeyes near Glendale. We were there on some business and I saw one nearby and I was like lets try that damn sandwich.

This was near the ghetto and they forgot one sandwich that I went back in for and the kids running it were sketchy as fuck.

Anyway I had the spicy one and the regular. Regular one was ok Spicy one was better but after all the hype I was expecting something amazing.

I can make better Chicken sandwiches at home and I have so I was a let down but thats what Hype does

For the most part it's the workers, also they mess up every order despite taking over 10 minutes per order. I have been to many Popeyes locations, and every single one takes forever. Perhaps it's the hiring process or just the training.

It's very meh. Definitely not worth shooting someone over.
Even the spicy version isn't spicy built into the batter, it's just in the fucking sauce slathered on the sandwich.

bk does the same thing. my roommate showed up with one last week and I tried it. was pretty good. they also use a brioche bun. they really skimped on the sauce so I add more spicy aoli and also like 5 more pickles

i avoided it strictly because of the hype (guerilla marketing) but was hungry on the road and the closest thing was popeyes so i ordered two of the spicy sandwiches
probably the best balance of flavor and texture i've ever gotten from a fried chicken sandwich, so i went back a few weeks later for more but they weren't as good
i guess it depends on who's making them

this is wrong though, popeyes always marinates and batters their spicy chicken and you can very clearly tell it's cooked into the filet/batter in addition to having sauce
