I want to eat these Korean fire noodles.
Are they good ?

>> No.15263586

They're not particularly deep, but as junk goes, yeah they're pretty pleasant. Depends how you doctor them.

They're just a gimmick food, they're only spicey if you're a bitch and they taste awful.

>Are they good ?
Not really. If you're just looking for spicy food for the thrill of burning your mouth, you can find way spicier food. Otherwise, there are better brands of instant ramen, and better foods to eat than instant ramen.

I actually find these noodles pretty tasty, you'll find them spicy if you have a low tolerance for spice. Ramen like that and shin ramen (arguably better because that has a nice broth) aren't that special on their own, but you can jazz them up a bit with veg mushrooms etc.

They don't taste good. Spice can be good or bad depending on the person, but the flavor is shallow and unimpressive.

i prefer this spicy seafood ramen, plenty of spice without making you regret your life choices, interesting musky sea flavor and easy to doctor up with some small bits of shrimp. also the noodles are of a larger, chewier variety that gives it a unique texture and really fills you up for a pack of dried ramen.

My favorite brand of instant ramen is Ottogi. Wide variety of different types of products. One of my guilty pleasures is buying their basic ramen, opening the bag, taking out the seasoning, crushing the ramen in the bag, sprinkling in the seasoning, mixing, and then eating them like chips out of the bag uncooked.

probably not complex or whatever but they are good

I like the taste, especially the cheese version
they are hot, but not unbearably so if you're at least somewhat used to eating spicy food

>> No.15263740

They barely have any flavor, if you are a le spicy soyboy fanatic just buy capsaicin extract and add it to your food

How can you describe these as "barely having any flavor"

Yep. The only thing really bad by Ottogi is their spaghetti ramen. Kind of an old school product of theirs, though. Don't even know if it's still on the shelves any more.

>> No.15263758

Aww. I really like those noodles even if they're supposedly a meme. Mind you, whole reason I tried them was avoiding ramen for years due to salt content, and trying these ones since they're lower for the salt amount. Probably cause they use an oil instead of powder packet

if you want to eat something who gives a fuck if people called it a meme. i didn't check the sodium levels on it when I had it, but it makes sense if the sodium was lower, considering i didn't think it had much flavor.

Because I'm used to Chinese instant ramen. Once you try them most other instant noodles will be flavorless in comparison
>>15263867
I unfortunately got memed into buying a dozen of those and had to eat them all, they aren't really spicy and have no flavor. They have some weird spice that make your lips feel uncomfortable but that's it. Pic related Chinese snail instant noodles are spicier and WAY better

>> No.15265992

Does anyone know if Samyang is making these less spicy for foreign markets?

I recently bought a 5 pack of them and was incredibly let down by the heat level. Barely spicy at all. The one I bought has English all over it so I wonder if they are dumbing it down for sensitive American palates.

I've had the real Korean version before and I feel like they were much hotter. The standard one I mean, not even the 2x or 3x.

They actually have a great flavor, but holy shit are they hot. Like hot hot. Like have a liter of milk on standby hot.
Disregard anons above, they taste delicious if you can discern any flavor from the burning.

No, too hot and no flavor. Even Koreans add eggs, cheese, and other veggies into them to dilute the spice and you can forget sipping the broth which is otherwise one of the best parts of instant noodles.

They are pretty good if you like spice.
Not to spicy but it also taste good non of that artificial bitter spice extract flavour.
Best when you brown up some mushrooms and onions then heat though peas and corn and cook a egg.
Then add the cooked noodles and spice packs into the pan while the heat is off and mix then put in a bowl and put the egg on it.

>> No.15267131

They do taste fairly good but you need to really like your spice to want to have them. If you don't then don't bother, get some normal noodles and throw some hot sauce in there.

I buy them purely cuz they taste good. best stir fry noodles. Also enjoying all the knock offs. There r versions for it with turkey flavor or with beef/octopus flavor. Pic related is even better than the regular Samyang one. But Samyangs Ham&Cheese is also nice.
