I've only ever had pic related, it has a pronounced wintergreen flavor, doesn't taste much like root beer but there's a little bit of similarity. Pennsylvania Dutch is a brown birch beer though it might taste more like root beer.

Foxon Parks Birch Beer is pretty much the only reason I go to New England. Think a lighter, more crisp version of root beer.

If you have a kroger or whatever the hell they call it in your region, they likely have 8-packs of their in house cane sugar soda. They do a birch beer and some other stuff. Fairly solid for a store brand, especially since it isn't hfcs
