We served some sort of chicken dish, and some sort of beef dish (no veggie option because fuck veggiefags). I didn't have enough time to finish my plate before we had to go start greeting guests. The reality is that you won't have time to eat whatever is there, and while the caterer will pack a plate for you to take, you'll just be heating it up in the hotel microwave. But, by the time my wife and I got to the hotel, we were already drunk and had been fooling around in the back of the limo, so we just fucked and ate the leftovers for breakfast.

Best wedding I've ever went to had canapes, blinis w/ caviar, cheese/meat, smoked salmon, melon balls w/ prosciutto, lemon pastries, a buffet of various cajun dishes (gumbo, etouffee, crawdads, etc), you could get lobster/steak, greens and open bar. They had two cakes, but I didn't have any. Something like that sounds nice, but the parents of the bride dropped a considerable amount of money and the quality of everything reflected that.
