Two battered sausages

Large portion of chips (don't forget the scraps/bits) with lashings of salt and vinegar

Mushy peas

4 slices of heavily-buttered brown bread

This way you can make yourself a small sandwich of chips, peas and batter off the fish, with a little extra salt, vinegar and ketchup, as a makeshift starter. Then you can enjoy the soft, flaking, white fish and chips as a 'main' of sorts.

Naturally, it all has to be washed down with an ice-cold tin of dandelion and burdock, or a bitter shandy if you feel like treating yourself. I would also accept Vimto as a respectable answer, though it's not my thing.
