Has the McRib gotten WORSE? Grabbed one during lunch today (yes they have always been shit but it is nostalgic shit) and it was noticeably worse. Onions have zero flavor. Pickles were fine. Sauce was weaker than I remember with nearly no flavor. Meat was like eating a fresh sponge. No, I don't have the coof everything else tastes normal still.

Sounds like they pre-made this batch and it's been sitting for a while. They sometimes train people to make this sandwich a week in advance of its release, and maybe they kept the original batch of sauce around for too long.

I wasted no time and got a McRib this morning. The woman at pay window said "It's a good sandwich, huh?" Since it's been about two years since I've eaten one in the middle of the night driving across the country I replied "I don't remember." This confused her. Oh well.
On to the sandwich:
First thing, it came with too much sauce- I barely had enough napkins for it.
The meat is blander than I remember, but that could be due to overabundance of sauce dominating everything with tangy sweetness. The onions are just as tasteless as I remember. I suppose they add texture/crunch.
Pickles are great. I should've asked for extra pickles.
As unsatisfying as it is, I already find myself craving another one. This could just be from the insane sugar spike the meal gave me right at the beginning of my day.
I'll get another one soon. Will use a different location and add bacon like this anon.

I should know better. The last time I had one of these was possibly in the late 80's maybe early 90's. either way about 30 years ago. while I was in college or just after.

I remember being so impressed with it I didn't have another one until today. I remember that the onions were the worst thing about it.

so like candy corn at halloween I decided to try another one.

it is smaller than I remember. Slathered with a unremarkable sauce. some anons complained it was to vinegary, it was hardly vinegary, not overly sweet, not much of anything. the patty was the same as I remember reminiscent of the weird mystery meat they served in high school. with a slight taste of "pork" The first thing that hit me was the smell of liquid smoke, which was strange because it didn't taste of liquid smoke at all.

it was rubbery, and bland and the thing that made it have much of a taste at all was the onions.

just an over all meh experience.
