What sort of cooking do you like? I would just youtube popular dishes from the type of cuisine you like, like "chicken cacciatore" for Italian, "tikka masala" for Indian, "coq au vin" for French, etc and follow them, you'll learn basic techniques and be able to modify the recipes based on your preferences after only a few times of making those meals.

yes that would be a good buy as well. start building your spice rack as well. pick up a couple spices every time you go shopping

>pick a dish, omelets, a curry, chocolate cake, whatever, just something you want to eat and want to learn to cook
>look up a bunch of recipes and videos
>try them,
>make your own recipe by combining what works from them
>move on to another dish
This is the true autistic obsessive way to successfully become good at cooking.

Cook something. Anything. Doesn't matter if it's not perfect this time, just make a mental note of what you didn't like about it and what you would like to do differently next time. Then try again, and again, and again until you nail it and move onto something else.

The more practice you get the better you get.

eggs
>scramble, poach, hard/medium/soft boil, fry, omelet, flan/custard, meringue, etc
potatoes
>boil for mash, bake, oven fries, pan fries, shred/rinse/drain/dry for hashbrowns, combine with eggs for spanish tortilla, homefries, etc
cheap and versatile

move up to casserole or one-pot dishes while you learn to prep, manage time, and clean as you go

you can do it, anon, just don't forget to make your kitty paw when you cut vegables
