How prevent? I'm scrambling eggs with finely grated cheese, cooking low for 5-8 minutes in 1/2 tbsp of butter. Skillet is a cheap nonstick from Walmart. I always get the sticky icky, which is very annoying and makes me not want to eat eggs even though they're a favorite of mine.

>> No.15042808

It's simple. Don't eat eggs.

Use pam spray first before the butter and lower the heat

You're not supposed to use sprays with nonstick skillets, it dissolved the coating and leeches it into your food

I do that. But I only pull them off 2-3 times to reincorporate the wet and cooked. Should I do more?

There is no way in hell that 0 calorie cooking spray is dissolving your nonstick coating

use smaller skillet, cut the cooking time, more butter, or lower the temp
pic one

I usually cook a scrambled egg in under 3 minutes, how many eggs are you using ?

>> No.15042901

>>15042890
>smaller skillet
Might do
>more butter
Doesn't fix it, I've used up to 2tbsp before
>less time
So higher temp? Won't that make them rubbery?
>more time
Lower temp? I'd think that would make them stick worse
>how many eggs
3-4. But the How to Cook Everything cookbook author says he often takes 30 minutes to make scrambled eggs on Sundays, says more time=more flavor. I don't go that crazy, and I guess I'd be willing to go faster if it meant no sticking

Don't let the eggs sit so long.

>> No.15043000

Use more heat op. Also scramble the eggs right away and shake the pan. For a pan this size you need more butter and eggs. But it should work nevertheless. Most likely your pan is already shit. Did you wash it with soap or a sponge?

>> No.15043012

>>15042804
Some nonstick pans just aren't really that nonstick. If you get the pan hotter it might stick less, but you might just want to try and find a better pan instead.

>> No.15043018

>>15043000
Soap and a soft scrub brush. Other stuff doesn't stick much. But I think it might just be that the pan is too big for so few eggs, I'll try a small one

I've tried constant movement too, but they leave a trail as I push them once they hit a certain point. I guess I need more heat and a shorter cook time in a smaller pan

>But the How to Cook Everything cookbook author says he often takes 30 minutes to make scrambled eggs on Sundays
you have been memed my friend. it takes no more than 2 minutes to make scrambled eggs. medium heat, and stir constantly. the sticking at the bottom is because the eggs touching the surface overcooked and dried. cook them quicker and keep scraping the bottom of the pan.

The spray sticks to the coating which then has to be scraped off to remove it, rendering your pan no longer non-stick. Either way, the end result of using Pam on your nonstick skillet is that it ruins the coating. You retarded fucking monkey.
