They do the same thing at Costco. You have to buy a product when it is first introduced, because by the time they've screwed the supplier to death, the stuff will be debased and shrunk to the point of inedibility.

Example: they had some sort of chicken-pasta thing that you just threw in the oven and cooked. When they first started stocking it it was awesome, lots of chicken, good flavor. About three months later it only had about half as much chicken in it. By the six month point it was inedible; the "chicken" was some sort of foamed recovered-meat sludge and the sauce no longer had much if any spices in it other than lots of salt to cover up the horrible taste.

They tried screwing Coca-Cola so hard on pricing that Coke said "no mas" and refused to sell to them for a while.

Wal-Mart does the same thing with American-made products, pressuring them to cut costs and move production to China. Snapper lawnmowers famously told them to fuck off.

It says Serrano (not Jamon Iberico with acorn fed pigs). The fun party-ready carving station is a bit of drama, but this is really a slicing and cold cuts kind of ham, some charcuterie laid out on a platter with all the great olives and cheeses, and marinated peppers and other tapas kind of dishes.

Serrano ham for me?
It's about the Cuban sandwich called croqueta preparada.
It renders flavor into the rice, when it is layered under the broiled cheesy topping of moist Arroz Imperial.

This happens to everything. Take IKEA for something non-food related. I have four Billy shelves from the 70s. It's made of massive, tho still chip, boards, really sturdy and heavy. They cost the same as new ones, with inflation, but the newer ones are absolutely flimsy shit. You can't even really stack two raws of books in fear of it giving in let alone move with them.

Every time IKEA says they made some staple product cheaper, you sure as hell can see the quality go down under the pretense of "lower envoiremental inpact". The heebs of the north.

It's not "same shit". They are totally different. The pre-sliced will have lost it's quality before even arriving at the store.

As said multiple times already, but just to be sure, here it is again:
You don't.
>thinly slice
Yes.
Though I have also eaten it as small-ish cubes at some tapas places.
But if you decide to start eating it, be prepared to eat ham day in, day out, for days.
Because unless you got a nice, dry airy kitchen, it's gonna either get mouldy or maggots or both.
But besides that, spanish ham is nice.
