People do compliment it but I have pretty bad anxiety and I believe they secretly hate it. I prefer to cook for myself and loved ones. And I keep my social circle quite small.

I guess one thing that helps me feel better is one person I cook for regularly is known as a picky eater, he will turn down some foods but loves other things I cook. I find baking is the safest way to go in that regard.
