french eat anchovies with pats of butter. i tried that, putting both on some bread. nice appetizer. anchoix au buerre. a working mans snack. got it at a parisian restaurant with coatracks at each table, and butcher paper for tablecloth that the waiter calculates the bill on. true salt of the earth shit.
