I agree with ribs. You can do alot with other cuts like brisket by itself, but ribs benefit more from low and slow cooking than others. Not the best thing given BBQ treatment, I still leave that to pulled pork. But it wins best treatment.

Anybody tried smoking a chuck roast for a cheaper brisket taste? Seems fatty enough to make for a similar taste for less money.

>> No.14922720

im loving grilled wings lately. Maybe one of the tastiest things ive been having in a long time. especially after the grill was blessed with some beef or pork thats already been cooked so it picks up that flavor.

Brisket if fucking great, but over rated. Give me those ribs that will leave my mouth greasier than a whore's asshole and my shirt ruined.

Call me crazy Im not a big wet rib guy
Dry rubbed rib is a lot more of an enjoyable experience desu

Australia? In the US BBQ usually refers to smoking rather than grilling.

>> No.14922757

>>14922749
Na american. BBQ def refers to grilling outside of the bbq south proper.

what I mean to say is, up in the north east, its all a fuckin wash with that type of stuff. So yeah grilled wings are amazing

I've never heard anyone on the east coast (or west when I've been there, for that matter) refer to grilling as barbequing.
Calling a back yard party with grilling a barbeque I have heard. But never the act of cooking. People will even say stuff like "I'll be the grilling at the barbeque tonight".

>>14922810
BBQ is a specific form of smoking, so you're half right. But still end up sounding like a yank that gets his ribs from a restaurant for $30 for three bones.

>>14922822
can confirm tons of californians call grilling "BBQing"

these are people that don't know the difference between grilling/smoking meats imo

you underestimate how bad bbq culture is outside of the south dude.

Different terms the world over. A smoked ham in Germany is very different from what you get at a Texas BBQ place.
