A Plant-based diet can include Meat tho. It would just be in a low proportion. Like eggs and bacon with cooked veggies in the morning, then a big salad with a steak, that's plant-based, it doesn't exclude other food it just limits it. It's good because that way you won't lack nutritional deficiencies from vegetarianism or veganism.

Vegetarians and vegans have a lower rate of malnutrition and have less deficiencies on average. Probably because they think about that sort of stuff. B12 is fortified in everything from emergy drinks to plant-based meals.

An omnivore who pays attention to what they eat will still be in the best of health. You're basically comparing people who eat whatever and people who take more interest in what they eat and saying the latter are healthier which isn't a revelation.
