Nothing personal kid.

what else were you planning on doing in that time? stop trying to save and gather every spare second you can in your life. Appreciate that some things take time move on.

how? genuinely curious. I use a moka pot and a manual coffee grinder and doesn't take me more than 5 minutes.

60 second brew maybe, I'd say 3-4 minutes to grind, brew, press, toss out used grinds and filter & rinse

Read how the best French pressed coffee needs to sit and brew for like 10-15 minutes, then add in time to boil water and wait for it to cool, grind beans, and clean everything up

Is this for black coffee only? Because every cup of coffee tastes the same drenched with creamer and milk

I don't brew my french press coffee more than 4 minutes, it starts to taste bitter afterwards
I also have an instant near-boiling water spigot, so I don't need to spend time boiling any water

Cleaning is a pain though, you got that right

I've never tried french pressed, is it worth it? I've always thought it would be like a watered down espresso/moka, but maybe that's just drip coffee.

this is dumb, the coffee settles in <5min and is bitter if you brew longer than 4 minutes. also using a fine ground increases bitterness and dulls complex flavor from the variety in a coarse grind

Yeah but it taste like shit, once you learn how much better coffee tastes when you try other methods you can’t go back to instant. So if you’re happy now with instant, don’t try anything else.

I have a drip machine

1. Pour in water the night before, load ground coffee
2. Wake up, turn on, brush teeth, shower, shit, get dressed
3. Pour coffee into mug, grab lunch, get in car and drive to work

>muh french press

Just organize your time better and set yourself up for success.

Not true.
I have all the coffee toys, good grinder, different methods of brewing, hell, I even roast my own beans sometimes.
But some mornings I can't be fucked to make another cup of coffee, so I turn to instant and it's good enough.

False.
>use an electric kettle with temperature settings to reach 185 F
>while heating (1-2 min tops) grind beans
>put beans in press, pour 1/4 of water in, let it sit 30 seconds to bloom
>pour rest in, let brew for 4 min exactly
And that's it homie. It takes 7 minutes max to do the whole process.

To clean my french press I just put water in it from the sink, pour it straight in the toilet and repeat until its clear.
I wash it more thoroughly very rarely.
