For Americans? Yes
For the rest of the world? It's food
I like mashed pumpkin with pork or steak, pumpkin soup is great too, baked seeds are based

>> No.14855040

I only eat them baked, maybe with a nice syrup glaze.

They were a stable in colonial new england. Takes a long time to go bad if the stay undamaged. Great in soups and stews. Not bad in baked goods either.

pumpkin. its a seasonal food. pumpkin spice isn't pumpkin flavored, it's what you flavor pumpkin pie with. It flavoring other things other than pie is a meme.

Depends on how much sugar you use. I like cream cheese as a toping for it myself.

Fucking this. I've met an appalling amount of people who don't actually know or understand what pumpkin/squash in general tastes like. They only know what the spice tastes like. Serve them ANYTHING containing cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, etc, and they'll just assume it's made of pumpkin even if the ingredients have never even been in the same room as a pumpkin.

>>14855301
It's even funnier that they serve that spice as seasonal items when you can get the components year round.
