One of these just opened up near me. Are they any good?

It depends. I have two or three near me. One is okay, one is fucking garbage and one is fantastic and I love everything I've gotten from there.

Its the best big chain pizza place in regards toppings and sauce. I think it probably loses out on bread to one of the other chains and their side items are weak. Overall the best pizza using the versions of all the chain pizza I've tried. If you want great sides with your pizza though then go elsewhere.

Their subs are surprisingly fantastic too.

it is okay. it's not ny style or anything close to that. they cut the slices fairly thin so they feel very long. the pizza is super greasy and the pepperonis they use are rather thick and small so they turn up when baked in the oven and each turn into little grease cups. my roommate gets it often. I've only eaten a few slices of it one time. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it personally.

I think they were (are?) affiliated with a video store.

Before streaming services became ubiquitous, you could order a pizza and they'd deliver your movie rentals, too.
Kinda cool.

Pizza... pretty good. There are hipster joints that are better quality, but the price goes up disproportionately.

One time I saw a recently crashed Marcos Pizza delivery car, he hit a deer at night, there was blood everywhere, car was totaled and it was an emergency situation. Had to get him to a hospital and found out later he became blind from the crash. In conclusion, probably cursed and wouldn't recommend. Hope he's alright now

There is this video rental store kind of in between two massive suburban areas. The video rental store has been there for more than 25 years. I'm not sure when they added Marco's but I'm really tempted to take the 50 minute round trip drive to check it out.
