I can say that when I was in Sweden, they had eggs out and un-refrigerated. This was because of the difference between how we process them in the USA, we wash off a naturally occurring protective coating that helps keep them fresher for longer which is why they are kept cold here but not overseas.

yeah that's not uncommon, I don't really see the issue, but then again I wouldn't put it past a frogposter to eat the shells as well

most cheese and fresh milk are refrigerated, a few types of cheese aren't, UHT and pasteurized milk aren't, and eggs aren't
