>visiting Europe last summer
>was there for 1 month on business
>go to grocery store
>milk was yellow
>eggs had brown debris/dirt on them
>milk, eggs, and cheese were not refrigerated

Is this common in Europe?

I can say that when I was in Sweden, they had eggs out and un-refrigerated. This was because of the difference between how we process them in the USA, we wash off a naturally occurring protective coating that helps keep them fresher for longer which is why they are kept cold here but not overseas.

>yellow milk
where in the world were you to find a grocery store where milk is sold in plastic containers?
>dirty eggs
yeah that's not uncommon, I don't really see the issue, but then again I wouldn't put it past a frogposter to eat the shells as well
>dairy products weren't refrigerated
most cheese and fresh milk are refrigerated, a few types of cheese aren't, UHT and pasteurized milk aren't, and eggs aren't

Sorry, when im preparing my food I don't want to take the chance that poop and dirt from the egg shell end up on my other food and kitchen surfaces.
