i see. i've always read that wheat was supposed to be the more expensive one but maybe that's because rye isn't produced in the same quantity and there isn't as much demand now.

My latest sourdough rye loaves. I waited a day after baking to cut them open and the taste is phenomenal. Tangy and mossy. My wife can't handle all the flavors so she gets the white flour sourdough, I get these glorious loaves.

That’s not sourdough, rye is based as fuck and only tastelet fags don’t enjoy sourdough or rye. I like the schwarzrye and most of the Scandinavian variants

Very. It's 80+% hydration. Inspired by this Irishman's video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-8bZpQOM58
Next time I'll try 90+% hydration

It's very filling, and delicious with or without butter. If anything it's too tasty making me want more even though my hunger is satiated.
>>14759813
Found the tastelet. It's just rye flour, rye starter, water, and salt. You probably also hate beer and anything else fermented.

My mom used to love that stuff, she'd put cottage cheese, anchovies and maybe a caper on them or at least some caper juice and go to town. She was thin as a whistle.
