Is plant based "meat" good?

>> No.14750261

You made this thread in bad faith. Fuck off, retard.

>> No.14750262

Non-meme answer: No. It's processed to hell and heavy in fats and cholesterol.

I’ve had beyond burgers many times. They are okay. They definitely aren’t good, but they do have a texture and taste that is similar to meat. Tbh I think they are comparable to the shity frozen burgers you can buy at the grocery store.
Way more expensive though

Its really good

What? There's no cholesterol outside of animal products, retard.

the white castle impossible burger doesn't taste as good but it's like 4x thicker

>> No.14750282

i don't think it's important that it's good, it's more important that it's good enough. and that bar varies from person to person
it's good enough for me personally. i'm not a vegetarian but i want to cut down on the animal suffering where i can

It's fine. It has a subtly different taste than real meat, but it's more than edible.

Stuff like nuggets and sausage that emulates are ground texture are pretty good. I know it's subjective, but I like a lot of plant based nuggets better. Things that try to emulate chunks of meat are admittedly less good.

I don't eat the shit but it's great for my gf since she's vegetarian and can't eat half the places I like eating. I can actually go to BK with her now which is nice. Would be nice if more places started doing it.

It tastes good, it has an inferior texture, and it is not really healthier.

Only had it once in a Del Taco classic crunchy taco. It fooled me on tasting and feeling like meat in the mouth. I wouldn't make a habit of eating it. 5.8/10
