That’s my go to as well, either chili relleno or chili poblano.
We had this place called Arcelia’s that had the best chili poblano. They would stuff it with their ground beef in addition to the cheese, and the egg layer was thin and perfect. Man I miss that place.

huh? wtf does that even mean. chile relleno is usually made with a poblano

>> No.14730327

Both are stuffed poblanos.
Chilli relleno is stuffed with cheese breaded and fried.
Chili poblano is stuffed with cheese (and sometimes meat) and coated with an omelet like egg layer.
They are similar, and not all Mexican places have both, but most of them around here (St. Louis) have chili poblano on the menus as well.

Jesus fuck man.
I don’t own all the Mexican restaurants in the area.
I don’t write their fucking menus.
They serve stuffed poblanos.
Some call them chili relleno
Some call them chili poblano
Some places have both on the menu
If a place has both on the menu and you order both, the chili poblano will have more egg than the chili relleno.
I don’t make the fucking rules
I don’t make the fucking names
I don’t make the fucking menus
Why the fuck are you arguing with me about this? Do you think I can somehow fix this great injustice of slightly redundant naming for a dish or dishes that you seem to care so deeply about?
Do you pick fights on the internet about if soft drinks are called soda/pop/soda pop/coke?
