It's illegal. You are essentially the owner within a lease.

Don't ever pour grease down the drain. Pour into a coffee can, wipe out the rest with a paper towel, then wash it. Or just microwave bacon and use the paper towels up front.

If you are pouring it down the drain because you had zero home training, and he's had to snake lines, or had bathtubs and washing machines back up, he could actually charge you for damages. Only idiots pour grease down a drain. Google "fatberg" stories about how horrible the grease is, sticking and clumping together in sewers. It can and will just glob onto the walls of your pipes narrowing them and making plumbling issues, some are more major than others. Also, never flush anything but actual toilet tissue, and especially those wet wipes like Cottonelle. They're finding out that they combine with oils in sewers and it's the next problem.
