Speaking of breads, this chart reminded me of it, particularly that mantou steamed bun.

I used to go to the real old school little burger joint. The kind that made hand-made milkshakes and served out of a walk-up window, before those things became throwbacks.

Anyway, they had the usual items. Burgers, fish-n-chips, corndogs, fries. But they're own unique in-house special burger was called the "Yummy Burger" and the most distinct thing about it was it had this weird white bun. I have no idea what kind of bread it was. It was almost as white as that steamed bun. I don't know if I would have remembered it if it wasn't for that color. I think it tasted a bit different than other buns, but maybe that was just confirmation bias on my part. But I think it was just a touch chewier and yeastier than regular buns.

If anybody has any idea what it might have been, I'd appreciate it.
