Some people travel two hours to get to the stadium which could easily take another hour to get into by the time you get through parking lot traffic and walk to the stadium itself. And the game has warm up time before a match that might last 3 hours. So yeah it makes perfect sense to get some food there and be willing to shell out the ridiculous prices since they won't let you bring food in. People who live in the city could easily fit meals around a game, but it's a big haul for a lot of people.

Oh yeah I'm living in megafattyland (deep south) right now and every fat fuck claims they don't really eat that much even though it looks like it. They just eat non-stop garbage food and soda and sweet tea I think. Nothing wrong with enjoying some concession food at the game though. It's nostalgic fun for sports fans.

Everybody knows baseball games are 4 hours long. Of course people eat food when they go out. What the fuck are they supposed to do? Fill up on oatmeal in the morning, starve all day and then rush home for a frugal supper of boiled eggs? People spend their entire day at baseball games.

This set up is actually great for stadiums where you have to walk like 1/4 mile with your shit through packed crowds and make it to your seat. It keeps everything stable and compact.

Nothing like that. The ballpark near me is really liberal with what you can bring into the stadium foodwise. As long as it fits in a certain sized bag you can bring it in, I usually grill up some hot dogs and wrap em in foil and pick up some peanuts and gatorades on the way. Brought a whole cake once for a birthday. When I'm there I usually just spend money on a couple beers. It's nice not spending an arm and a leg on fries but the team fucking sucks.

I was impressed by the presentation for some pineapple chicken we ordered at a Thai restaraunt in the SF area called Farmhouse.

The food was delicious but the experience was fun, inviting, and unique. Pic related is their Pineapple Chicken served in an actual pineapple

Places that focus on presentation almost always lack in food quality and flavour. From experience it just seems like a means of selling people shit because it looks like a novelty.
