I hyped up one of those sushi buffet restaurants hella hard to my gf. When we got there I guess the timing was bad, between lunch and dinner or some shit so everything was just trash. Just spicy tuna and California rolls with some weak seaweed things.

After what felt like 10 mins the fucking chicks were already trying to push us out the door, I signed the slip with no tip and the dude actually tried calling me out. Stuck his finger on the receipt and asked "no tip??? Why no tip????" Hella ass fucking mad. I got up, just said "yeah that's right, yes, yes" as he kept trying asking, trying to get me to break.

Fucking liked that place, too. Dunno what went wrong.

I once went to a Chinese buffet with a couple of friends fairly late on a Friday night. when i walked in, i saw a guy successfully trade a bootleg DVD for entrance into the buffet. I immediately knew this place was sketchy (it was in a run down part of the city too). There were prostitutes outside and the entrance was in a dimly lit area behind a plaza.

Right when we were seated at our table, I saw a loud, obnoxious black family celebrating a little niglet's birthday. Already, my experience was ruined. It was literally just me/my friends and this table of loud pavement apes. It was after 9pm, I was starving and we decided to stay and try to scarf a meal down before heading back out.

The dishes at our table were dirty and we waited at least 20 minutes before the gook waitress came to take our drink order. We then went to the buffet to get our food where only a handful of items looked edible. The big pots of food weren't even on a heating element and everything looked unhygienic and unclean. The tables were dirty, some of the food looked undercooked, and some of the food in the buffet looked cold and untouched for hours. Even the ice cream bucket was disgusting, there were several different ice cream flavors mixed into the vanilla ice cream.

After eating a couple of egg rolls and mystery meat and some ice cream, I decided I just didn't want anything else. Only a few hours after we left, I got violently ill. I was throwing up for a few hours and in the morning I got really bad shits that lasted until the afternoon.

I ended up getting the joint shut down because I called the health department and they fucked them in the ass. I'll never forget the fact that they allowed sketchy drug addicts to barter for a meal. Fucking christ, chinese restaurants should be banned everywhere in North America. God help my fuck.

Before we go out to eat, our family and guests usually get together about an hour before the reservation to have cocktails (thus, cocktail hour). Why would I order a Black Russian for $12 or someone order a glass of wine for the same price when we can mix our own for a fraction of the price at home, and then enjoy more alcohol with the meals?

As for my worst experience, it was a really small (like REALLY SMALL) shrimp place in Naples, FL. There was a fire in the kitchen and the foam suppressant shot down but for some reason a shitload of fumes and whatnot shot into the dining area and we all evacuated mid meal. On the bright side, my dad and I grabbed all the plates and alcohol we had and we set it back up in the SUV's trunk, finished dinner and then left without paying. My dad still has their dishes in the basement.

I gotta tell ya, anon. I was on the opening crew of one of these culinary abominations when they opened a new one once. I only worked there for three weeks,(2 days after actual "Hard" open,) And everything in that ridiculous kitchen came out of plastic bags, boxes and #10 cans. EVERYTHING, save for one item, the only item that almost everyone gets whether they want it or not, yet strangely, 90% of the time came back on the plates barely touched; The Pico de Gallo. I swear, I'm not exaggerating. I'd never seen such a fucking bizarre "prep list" and "recipe cards" in my life. to add insult to injury, the particular store in question had no recycling, all the cardboard, cans and glass just went right into the dumpster.
Anyone who goes to this "restaurant" is getting ripped off heavily.

Yeah, I've known about this for about 10 years, but at the time,(considerably earlier,) my city was actually fineing people who got caught not recycling. Not for the odd can mind you, but throwing out large amounts of cardboard or 1s & 2s plastic bottle-wise. This was well before almost all trash removal became privatized. It's always been a scam.
The food itself was what was really a joke. Wendy's at the time was far better.
