I genuinely enjoyed his stuff when the viewer had no clue what he looked like (pre basics w babish). One of my favorite vids he made was that one dessert tower from The Grand Budapest Hotel. I honestly don't give 2 shits about his politics mainly because he doesn't talk about them. SURE, he's an NYC bugman king, but he makes good shit & he gave me a few ideas for my home cooking. All the recopies I pulled from his videos & modified for my own have always turned out great & I think you should give him a view! Just stick to his older content IMO

I like him, don't really care about his personal life or w/e. As long as the format of his show sticks with mainly cooking he's solid. He doesn't pad out episodes with huge intros or whatever like a lot of other cooking shows that feel the need to give you the entire history of whatever the fuck they're making. That being said it's not like he's a stellar cook, I just see it as some normal guy who cooks for himself, he doesn't make himself out to be a pro and credits where he gets his recipes.
