Unless you're looking to memorize the McDonald's menu, leave /ck/ immediately. Cooking requires lots of experience. Find a recipe you like and then make it. Next week make it again and adjust what went wrong. Videos are best for learning. Start with essentials like the Roman pasta dishes, a simple salad with a classic vinaigrette, anything with chicken.
