I made some spicy stuff recently. This is hot sauce I made from Thai chilis. They fermented for a week, then I blended them up.

When I was smoking bacon, I threw some jalapeenos on the smoker as well. Chipotles are just smoked jalapenos, right? After smoked, I dried them in the dehydrator, then made chipotle pepper powder. Smells all smoky. Not sure what to do with it

I have so much hot sauce. I think I'll use it to make wings. Since it's fermented, can I freeze it?

>> No.14560980

>>14560979
If you have vinegar in it it should preserve the sauce just fine without freezing it. But the entire freezing thing, I don't know.

I home grow my own, so far I've grown and loved jalapenos, thai chillis, scotch bonnets, and habernos.

This summer I'm growing ghost peppers, excited to try them.

My favorite of them all so far I think were the habaneros, I absolutely loved them with mango.

I'm afraid this just doesn't need a general thread, gay young reddit child. Please stuff this thread in your ass with your dildoes and reaper chilis

They're smoked and dried (about a week in preparation) red jalapenos, but yeah. >>14560664
>chilihead
makes me think of gamer or craft beer people, but so long as you don't Joe Rogan everything, it's OK in my opinion.
I have a bunch of chiltepin plants. I've been considering getting a small barrel to age in, but smoking sounds like it could be fun, too. Faster turn around, for sure.

i guarantee you i use a greater volume and variety of spices than any retarded darkie who has ever claimed "wypipo dont season dey food!" because i am actually aware of the existence of spices beyond barbecue sauce and "seasoning salt"

It's crazy how mad /ck/ gets when you post about chilies or hot sauce. Instantly spammed with smuggies and soyboy memes. It must be suffering to be a spicelet; they're always so angry inside.
>That's not what 'spicy' means, REEEEEE!

I grow my own. I have a couple different varieties of ghosts, some jalapenos, cayannes, thais, cobras, bonnets, and some fucking thing I picked up from the local nursery that was just called "red chili". Pic related. I have no idea what it is, but it's hot and flavorful.

They are all starting to ripen, so last night I picked some white ghosts, some thais, and some of those red chilies and put those bitches on some nachos. I promise I didn't use cheese sauce. Stuff was pretty good! never mind the variety you can get when you grow your own, the flavor is ten times better than store bought peppers. If you've never had a ripe jalapeno, you don't know what you are missing. I'll have more peppers than I can deal with soon enough, along with some other stuff. I think I'm going to pickle it and can it.

OP here

I don't post on /ck/ often and I realized people get super hostile about hot sauces and hot peppers.. Am I missing something here or.. ?

Yea, I don't know. It may be where they live. If they're in hip or urban areas, their interaction with hot sauce may be limited to trendy garbage like sriracha, or liberal yuppies who buy "rare hot sauces" like craft beer. I could understand that leaving a bad taste in your mouth. But more likely I think, they just can't handle peppers at all, and seeing threads about spicy food infuriates them because they are excluded from the discussion, so they just come in and flip their shit instead.

A lot of brainlets think eating hot is a competition. I am always extremely careful when making hot dishes because too much can remove all the flavour, my taste buds will just register the heat.
