I was 19 once too. At that time a root beer would motivate me to get out of bed on days that it was really difficult. But the donuts and pastries they'd put out at work sometimes would make me feel incredibly sick. Either no food or a small savory breakfast (not too concerned with it being traditional but eggs are easy to make and morning routine is nice) works for me. Ice cream sounds like hell just as much as a stack of sugary pancakes.

I used to joke about the burger food, but then actually thought about it for a while.
It gives you a lot of energy fast, same thing with PB&J -sandwich. It was great back in the day when majority of work was actually hard manual labor, where you burned a lot of calories. Then lots of non-physical jobs started to appear, but people ate the same shit for breakfast and diner and got fat.
