The guisado is an essential part of every meal, but useless by itself; it can only be consumed via the use of a manipulation and transportation tool. Tortillas are normally used in combination with the rest of the meal: the whole system is basically a dish with tortillas on the side, or a complete meal. All the so-called “Tacos” are really normal dishes on a tortilla.
